London Opener = Yawn Fest

July 28, 2012

For those of you into the Olympics I’m sure we were all excited about the official kick-off Friday night. After Beijing, I knew I couldn’t expect London to top it but I certainly was looking forward to as much excitement and fanfare. What we got was a hodge podge of British history, mixed in with 007 and a journey through the ages of music and literature. Matt Lauer’s commentary made it seem more like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I’m sorry but this was a Yawn Fest.

I didn’t even stay up to see who lit the torch.

Worst opening ceremony that I can remember.

Let the games begin, and let’s hope for some excitment in the course of play.
